Loloft
At Loloft, I designed a seamless, subscription-based short-term rental experience, simplifying discovery, booking, and subscription management. My work focused on creating intuitive flows, a consistent design system, and an engaging experience for modern renters.
The success of a rental platform depends on quickly connecting users with listings that fit their needs. Confusing layouts, inconsistent listing details, and unclear pricing reduce trust and engagement. By improving clarity, filtering, and information presentation, users can make informed decisions faster, increasing both bookings and overall satisfaction.
To better understand how renters and hosts interact with Loloft, we conducted interviews, surveys, and contextual observations, alongside competitive analysis of platforms like Airbnb and Vrbo. We validated these insights through prototype testing of search, filter, and booking flows. Users struggled with unclear listing types and underutilized filters, while hosts faced challenges managing multiple rentals. These findings directly informed design improvements, including clearer differentiation between short- and long-term listings, improved search and filter usability, and enhanced booking guidance for both renters and hosts.
Our design process for Loloft was grounded in user research and iterative testing to address the distinct needs of short-term renters, long-term renters, and hosts.
User Research: Synthesized insights from interviews, surveys, behavioral analysis, and competitor review to uncover pain points for renters and hosts.
Ideation & Brainstorming: Collaborated with cross-functional teams to generate solutions for search clarity, filter usability, listing differentiation, and booking guidance.
Prototyping: Created low- to high-fidelity interactive prototypes to explore and validate design concepts.
User Testing & Iteration: Conducted usability tests with renters and hosts to refine flows, improve clarity, and enhance confidence in booking or managing listings.
